Yogi of the Month – Interview

Due to the fact that I have been nominated as <span style=”text-decoration: underline;”>Veda Yoga‘s student of the month, I answered some questions for our monthly newsletter. I like to share my story here as a personal review to my own yoga practice and I am really thankful to inspire our community. I was asked to give my statement to the following questions:

What inspired you to take your first yoga class?

There are two different types of my first yoga experiences because in the beginning I was used to do yoga classes online on Youtube or just by myself at home. In Berlin the practise of yoga is just coming up. When I came to Los Angeles, I felt wonderful surrounded by many yoga studios and a great vibration. That was exactly the right time and place for me to take my first class within a yoga studio. So I found this amazing studio in my neighborhood -Veda Yoga. And I stepped into a secret place with open space. The basic inspiration for me to do yoga was the triangle between body, mind and spirit. Due to my personal growing I was into meditation and the world of chakras. Besides that I found a way to activate my self-healing forces so I can work on my transformation process with deep awareness. Other then that it is perfect to free yourself. For now the last I have to say: I am so glad that I am addicted to it nowadays.

How long have you been practicing Yoga?

I have been practicing yoga for more than one year. But I got really into it since December when I started to practice one or two times a day. It is part of my daily lovely life and I love to get stick with it.

How has it changed your life?

So as you can see, yoga is predestinated to change your life. On my personal path of yoga it belongs to my everyday inspiration. I have the opportunity to reconnect with myself, heart and passion. Most of the times I feel like this little ever smiling girl playing fearless in the sun. Other than that and probably the most important point for the present time, I found my calling and focus in life. I want to inspire people and arouse their passions, like yoga brought me back to my unique passion. I am looking forward to become a teacher.

What are you enjoy doing outside of yoga?

Besides yoga I love to combine movement and creative unfolding. I love any kind of sport like longboarding, running and biking. Creativity is part of expression in every situation. I like expressing myself within creating vegan and gluten free food, photography, reading and writing. Other than that I enjoy spending time with family and friends. And I hope I can share my inspiration with the world.Thank you, Kumi for turning up the volume of my heart melody and creating the wonderful space of Veda Yoga Center
