You are exactly where you need to be

Probably the sentence that I’ve heard the most combined with yoga. It took me months until I got the essence out of this expression. Even today it constantly creates something new, defines as something else each moment. We try to reach something all the time. We see the process as an enemy instead of valuing the way along. Perfection is the highest goal and in our point of view we rather fly then taking the stairs. We don’t want to accept that time can be a valuable factor and everything will come when it needs to be. That actually everything is already perfect in this present moment. Question yourself for a second: What is really changing if you would be able to master the split perfect tomorrow? Are you another person? Are you better or does the world rotate into the other direction? Is your soul more satisfied? Maybe you will never be able to do a perfect split in this life. Are you still perfect then?

You are perfect as you are

Who defines standarts like this? You are perfect, like you are right now, here and exactly there. Every day is a new experiment. Every day a little differtn. Every posture a snapshot in time. Like the life itself. For sure we are able to stimulate our process by practicing on a regular basis. Somethimes faster, somethimes slower. And maybe not in this life. There a so many factors which are influencing us. And at the end it is only a play of the outter form.

Trust in the present moment

At the beginning of my yoga classes I was frustrated a lot because the progress wasn’t fast enough in my perception. I was so impatient to reach the poses faster. With this mindset my body and soul had no opportunity to be open to the process and therby to the practice. I was so tense. I created obstacles instead of letting myself fall. In the beginning we think that we need to put a lot of work and force into our practice and the more we practice we begin to realize that the movement will come the more we let go and relax into it. The breath can be our assistant. And trust into the present moment. It will guide you where you need to be.

Try to break throug when you really want to cross the borders. Observe with ingenuity. And be gentle with yourself when you try to push yourself harder then you are able to. Can you let go or do you need to just reach somewhere? Give yourself permission to do the right thing for you, just for you. To compare yourself with others distorts the focus. You are unique. And only you will perceive this present moment as it is. Namaste
